The mission of Boxing South Africa (BSA) is the effective and efficient administration and regulations of professional boxing, ensuring and safeguarding the health, safety and general well-being of professional boxers. It has to market and sanction quality boxing events and tournament and increase the sport popularity.
BSA must be, a reference for international sanctioning bodies in South Africa boxers at home and international front.
BSA must control and exercise general supervision over professional boxing at tournaments in the country.
The BSA Board members are appointed in terms of the South African Boxing Act of 2001.
Their role and responsibilities are regulated by the provisions of the Act as well as the Boxing Regulations.
The act allows for the Board to be made up of a minimum of four and maximum of seven members.
The appointment is based among other things, on the nominee ‘s expertise and knowledge of amateur and professional boxing. The expertise in development and transformation related to boxing.
The following are Board members, Dr Peter Ngatane(Chairperson), Ms Zandile Matilda Kabini ,Adv. Mzamo alexander-Gumbi, Mr Gilberto Pereira Martins ,Mr Khulile Radu, Mr Luthando. Phillip Jack, and Letlhogonolo Noge-Tungamira as members for the period December 2017 to end of November 2020.
The Executive Management Team is made up of Mr Tsholofelo Lejake as Chief Executive officer (CEO), Mr Thabang Moses as Chief Financial Officer and Ms Cindy Nkomo as Director of Operations.
The Provincial managers are Mr Phakamile Jacobs (Eastern Cape), Mr Francis Manning (Kwazulu Natal), Mr Mickey Klass (Western Cape, Mr Lehlohonolo Ramogole( Acting Man- ager- Gauteng), Tinyiko Katingi (Limpopo), Oupa Lubisi (Mpumalanga), Ncebo Dladla (Port Elizabeth, Northern (None) and North West (None).
