The legend Peter “Terror” Mathebula

Mathebula the first black boxer to win world title, WBA Flyweight, when defeated Tae Shik Kim of South Korea on point decision in 1980 at Los Angeles, USA.

He was honoured and given the freedom of Mohlakeng township. Mathebula retired after win his last fight against Jacob “Killer” Molefe in Sebokeng.

He was developing and training aspiring boxers at Mohlakeng before his untimely death.
